Before working at Kids Cook! what was the most interesting job you’ve had?

It was probably being an early pre-k teacher, just because the kids kept my life interesting. There was never a dull day and I loved being able to teach 3-4 year olds. My favorite part was the relationship I built with the kiddos and it was hard to say goodbye. They kept me on my toes for sure!

What have you gained from working at Kids Cook! ?

I gained a job that I love. I gained a new support system and group of friends. I also gained a better knowledge of health, nutrition, community, and children.

What three words would you use to describe working at Kids Cook!?

Cheerful, Supportive, and Exciting.

Do you have a favorite quote or motivational phrase?

My favorite quote is a Bible verse, Isaiah 30:21, "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying, "this is the way, walk in it"."

A quote that I live by is "stop picking up what you already laid down."

How would you describe yourself as a 10-year-old?

Full of energy and very happy. I liked to learn and was excited to be in school.

What three things would you want if you were alone on an island?

1)A knife

2) A water filter

3) lotion

If you could be anyone for a day, who would you choose and why?

My cat because he gets to sleep all day and has no responsibilities and also doesn't have to cook all his meals.

Where is the best place you've traveled to and why?

A cruise to a few places in Mexico. This was the best because I was with a lot of my close friends and I was able to let loose and enjoy myself the most on this trip. I love beaches and warm weather so I loved being on a cruise and stopping at beaches in Mexico.

What is the most important thing you've learned in the last five years?

This is a tough question, I have a lot that I have learned. I learned this concept that each person is like a tree and bears fruit, and I learned to focus on people that bear good fruit and how to recognize bad fruit.

Is there anything else you want to share?

My favorite place to be is at the lake, on the water. I love any big bodies of water and love sunshine. Wakeboarding, swimming, and diving are my favorite hobbies in the summer. I have always loved children so being in the classroom and working other community events makes me so happy to be around the kiddos.
