Sugar Snap Peas
Sugar snap peas are pods with little peas inside. You can eat both the pod and the peas. Sugar snap peas can be eaten raw or cooked. They are a bright green color, crunchy, and sweet.
Bean Sprouts
Bean sprouts are the edible white roots that grow out of a bean. They taste very fresh and nutty. Bean sprouts are common in Asian dishes, but can be added to many other foods as a topping or mixed in. You can eat bean sprouts raw or cooked.
Golden Kiwi
Golden kiwi have a similar name but are very different from green kiwi! They are light brown and smooth on the outside, and are bright yellow-gold on the inside. Golden kiwi are more sweet than green kiwi.
Nori
Nori is dried seaweed that is used in Japanese cooking. It is made by drying fresh seaweed, then chopping it up and pressing it into flat sheets. Nori is dark green in color and crunchy when it is toasted. It is both sweet and salty. Nori is used most commonly in sushi or as a wrap for rice balls
Jujubes
Jujubes are a type of fruit that are small, round, and red in color. As the fruit grows and ripens it becomes more wrinkly, like a date. Jujubes are either sweet or tart. They have a grainy and crisp texture like an apple, and have a hard seed, or pit, in the middle that is not edible.
Pumpkin Seeds
Pumpkin seeds are the edible seeds inside of pumpkins. Pumpkin seeds are flat and oval-shaped. You can eat them with the shell still on, or you can remove the shell and eat the seed inside. The shell is white and the seed is green.
