Jovan has been with Kids Cook! since 2018 and is the Nutrition Educator at two Albuquerque schools - Pajarito Elementary and Los Padillas Elementary. You may also recognize him from our First Friday Night Events!

Before working at Kids Cook! what was the most interesting job you’ve had?

I think the most interesting job I've had before was working as a private chef. It's very interesting cooking for other people - other then your family.

What have you gained from working at Kids Cook! ?

I certainly have honed my organizational skills to the max! I have also developed a sense of community while working with schools.

What three words would you use to describe working at Kids Cook!?

Inspirational, Organized and Fun.

Do you have a favorite quote or motivational phrase?

Plans are useless but planning is indispensable - Dwight D. Eisenhower

How would you describe yourself as a 10-year-old?

Curious and playful. I have always been curious about finding out how things work, like disassembling a machine to learn what each gear does within the system.

What three things would you want if you were alone on an island?

1)A fancy kitchen
2)the means to gather food
3)A radio

Where is the best place you've traveled to and why?

The best place I’ve traveled is the Pajarito ski resort in Los Alamos. I love the outdoors and had the opportunity to hike up the mountain and saw some of the prettiest views I've had the luck of witnessing.
