Salsa Fresca
INGREDIENTS
5 medium tomatoes
1 jalepeño
2 cloves garlic
1/4 medium red onion
3 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 Tbsp. fresh cilantro leaves
TOOLS NEEDED
1 medium bowl
1 chef’s knife
1 set measuring spoons
1 set dry measuring cups
1 cutting board
1 juicer
1 large spoon
PREPARATION:
Wash the vegetables. Cut the tomatoes into 1/2-inch pieces and put it into a medium bowl. Seed and mince the jalapeño. Add the minced jalapeño to the tomatoes.
Peel the garlic and mince. Peel the onion and mince. Add the onion and garlic to the tomatoes.
Add the lime juice, salt, and pepper to the tomato mixture and stir. Cho[ the cilantro leaves and add them to the tomato mixture. Stir only until well combined.
Serve as topping for tostadas.
